My Top 25 Favourite Albums of The Decade (2010-2019)

Hello all,

So, as we hit October 2019 we can pretty much see the decade slowly coming to a close. It was most certainly a very interesting decade indeed. Especially for music. This decade in music has been been quite astonishing, with more music being created than at any other time in history. I would actually love to know some statistics on that. Music is way to express our humanity and to bring us together. The lyrics and sounds that individuals can create, have the ability to echo a profound impact on society. Music has stood the test of time and looking back and reflecting on all that has come before us, is truly something beautiful. However, I shall give credit where credit is due because we have definitely seen some incredible art created in these recent years. This decade has seen the rise of pop to a new extreme, the creation of revolutionary modern rap, the exploration of new levels of R&B and so much more. No, Striking For Climate Is Not Just For Adults

This post hopefully needs no introduction. I am here to write a small essay on why I believe climate striking is most definitely NOT just for adults. Let’s start with a bit of history. In 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. led a march on Washington for jobs and freedom, in 1913 there was a Women’s Suffrage Parade, The Abolitionist Movement in the 1800’s, the March on Washington for LGBT rights and liberation in 1993. All of these historical movements made history and helped change social values by creating awareness. They all involved active demonstrations, protests or other forms of physical movement. In other words, they did not stand still. We are now living in a time where one of the greatest threats to our way of life is from our climate. The climate is changing at a rapid rate and with scientific backing and while public pressure continues, governments and politicians still remain polarized and passive. In Depth Album Review of Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’

Hello all,

If a rock is what you have been living under for the past week, you may not know. However, if you are any regular human with an internet connection, you would have likely seen that Taylor Swift released her new album ‘Lover’, possessing 18 songs about the concept of love and all its various and beautiful forms. As a massive fan of Taylor and her music I was excited to hear the new songs but was worried considering the first two singles released ‘ME!’ and ‘You Need To Calm Down’ both came across quite lyrically amateur. Thankfully, all my doubts were proven wrong, as I simply cannot get enough of this new music! It’s a new, transformative era of Taylor Swift. One that has came about through maturity and as a result of the trials and tribulations undergone by Taylor, both privately and publicly in recent years. 10 Reasons Why You Should Be Watching HBO’s ‘Euphoria’

There is a new show in town and it is commonly known as ‘Euphoria’ and I am just slightly obsessed with it! The new HBO Drama created by Sam Levinson, stars Zendaya, Jacob Elordi and Hunter Schafer. It also features a stunning supporting cast of actors, which for many, is their first mainstream appearance! The show deals with a multitude of themes throughout its 8 episode run, including but not limited to; sexual repression, violence, substance abuse, depression & other mental illnesses and gender identity. It is a groundbreaking and confronting series for many reasons and breaks a lot of traditional barriers that previously produced teenage-themed shows did not engage with. My Thoughts On Instagram Removing The ‘Like’ Feature?

Hello all,

Happy Thursday! It is unlike me to post a blog post on a Thursday. However, I thought I would just do a stream-of consciousness and blog about the new update that was introduced for trial in Australia this morning. It has been quite a contentious update which has had many people either wanting it gone as soon as possible or wanting it to become a permanent feature. My thoughts are quite mixed and I want to cover as many bases as possible in this post and hope I can do just that.

Movie & TV Wrap-up: June 2019

Today I am coming to you with my movie and TV wrap-up for June 2019, which is about a week behind us at this point. The reason I am writing this post so late in the next month is because as you probably saw, I was in New Zealand from the 22nd of June to the 5th July! Onto the movies and TV shows though. This past month was a great month for the big and small screen, which produced some really engaging, emotionally powerful and fun productions! It was definitely far better than last months catastrophe-of-a-month. I won’t ramble on about my pointless generalised opinions though – instead I will delve right into the juicy opinions on this months best and worst of film and TV. Movie Review: Avengers Endgame

The day of April 24th finally came around and boy was it an emotional one! I hope that you are making your way to this review after actually watching the movie as you read this, otherwise you WILL be spoiled. I want to break this up into a few parts; starting with the plot and my thoughts on it and then go into the bad and the good, with my final rating of course being at the end. Before I continue, I would just like to say that this movie was everything I could possibly want and more. It was a beautiful ending to an incredible era in film. The end of the Avengers marks the biggest moment in cinematic history for me personally in my 18 years of life. It was extremely emotional to see most of these characters for the last time, and I honestly am so proud to be a fan of such an incredible story. I also consider this the best superhero movie I have ever seen! However, I still did have some minor and major issues with parts of this movie, which I will discuss below! Here are my thoughts on ‘Avengers: Endgame’
